Dear Families and Students, Welcome to fifth grade at Lydiksen Elementary School! Fifth grade is a very special time in your child’s life. They will be learning many new things this year; academic skills, organizational skills, social skills, self-confidence, and responsibility. In fact, the year your child spends in fifth grade will be one of the most valuable years in their development, readying them for the less structured years ahead in middle school and beyond. Students in fifth grade are expected to exhibit more responsibility. They are responsible for their behavior, all school assignments and their education. We have a challenging and rewarding year ahead. Each student will succeed and be an active participant in the classroom. Please take the time to read the below information.
